ORAMMA is holding a webinar series to discuss the project activities and progress, from the ORAMMA team.
First webinar was hosted by the European Forum for Public Health and was held on the 20th March at 12:30pm CET. Eirini Sioti from Athens Midwifery School, the coordinator of the project, presented an overview of the ORAMMA project, which is developing an integrated, mother and woman centered, culturally oriented and evidence based approach for all phases of the migrant and refugee women perinatal healthcare, including detection of pregnancy, care during pregnancy and birth, as well as support after birth. Second webinar was hosted by ORAMMA and was held on the 20th April at 12:30 CET. The lead partner in the Netherlands Maria van den Muijsenberg from Radboud University presented the situation for migrant women in the Netherlands, the barriers migrant women face to accessing quality perinatal care and about the progress Radboud is making in implementing the ORAMMA project. Third webinar was hosted by ORAMMA and was held on the 27th July at 12:30 CET. Dr Maria Papadakaki of Technological Educational Institute of Crete presented the challenges social care providers are facing in the aftermath of both the financial crisis and the migration crisis in Greece and explains how the ORAMMA project is using a multi-disciplinary team approach to address these problems. Forth webinar was hosted by ORAMMA and was held on the 25th January at 12:30 CET. Professor Hora Soltani from Sheffield Hallam University focused mainly on the systematic review that the ORAMMA team undertook to examine migrant women’s experiences of the perinatal period and the way the results of the review influenced the project’s activities.
